Hangzhou recently convened a press conference to unveil policies designed to propel high-quality economic growth, introducing the 2026 iteration of the '8+4' economic policy framework. This policy underscores the acceleration of building an artificial intelligence innovation hub, with the ambition to elevate the city's intelligent computing capacity beyond 70 EFlops and to develop more than 10 exemplary 'AI Plus' scenarios. Qualified 'AI Plus' scenario innovation consortium initiatives will be eligible for coordinated support of up to RMB 5 million. Furthermore, the policy will extend support to the research and development of individual products for intelligent terminals and equipment, with a selection of up to 5 products, each potentially receiving a maximum reward of RMB 3 million.
