On February 28, Alibaba unveiled its open-source desktop agent tool, CoPaw. This tool not only facilitates one-click deployment in both local and cloud settings but also offers comprehensive support for secondary development. With CoPaw, users can seamlessly integrate local models, craft custom Skills, expand messaging channels, and construct personalized agent systems tailored to their needs.
CoPaw boasts native compatibility with leading chat platforms, including DingTalk, Feishu, and QQ. It is pre-loaded with essential Skills for document editing, news consumption, and file organization. The tool excels in automating tasks such as email summarization, weekly report generation, information structuring, desktop file management, and content creation support, including brainstorming video script concepts and sourcing trending content from social media.
Following its open-source launch, CoPaw's core architecture has been revamped with a modular design, decoupling elements like Prompt and Hooks. This enables developers to effortlessly swap out or enhance modules, giving them the flexibility to incorporate or exclude model providers and communication platforms, thereby broadening the agent's operational scope.
