According to data from OpenRouter, the world’s largest API aggregation platform for AI models, between the 9th and the 15th, the invocation volume of China’s AI models reached 4.12 trillion Tokens, surpassing the 2.94 trillion Tokens of U.S. models for the first time. From the 16th to the 22nd, China’s weekly model invocation volume further climbed to 5.16 trillion Tokens, marking a 127% increase over three weeks. In contrast, U.S. model invocation volume declined to 2.7 trillion Tokens during the same period. Additionally, among the top five models globally in terms of invocation volume, Chinese models now occupy four positions. Leveraging rapid iteration cycles and cost advantages, Chinese model developers are swiftly capturing the global market, driving exponential growth in demand for domestic computing power.
