On February 26, 2026, reports emerged that Reliance Industries, under the leadership of India’s former wealthiest individual, Ambani, is capitalizing on the burgeoning potential of artificial intelligence. Its subsidiary, Jio, is set to introduce innovative smart glasses, branded as JioFrames, alongside humanoid robots. Designed to rival Meta’s smart glasses, JioFrames boast compatibility with multiple Indian languages and local dialects, catering to a diverse user base. These glasses will be available in both premium and standard editions, all featuring AI assistant capabilities. Furthermore, Jio unveiled a prototype humanoid robot tailored for warehouse and factory environments. Another humanoid robot, aimed at providing elderly care and performing high-risk industrial tasks, is anticipated to hit the market within the next four to five years.
