As the primary rival of NVIDIA in the AI processor market, AMD's current prospects have not quite met the expectations of some investors. On Tuesday, AMD disclosed that it anticipates first-quarter sales to hover around $9.8 billion. This figure stands in contrast to the analyst consensus estimate of $9.39 billion, with certain forecasts even surpassing the $10 billion mark. Nevertheless, AMD is making steady progress in the AI domain. It has introduced a range of AI processors, including the Instinct MI350 series GPUs, which leverage the CDNA 4 architecture and deliver notably enhanced performance. Concurrently, AMD has also bolstered its cooperation with industry partners to collectively propel the advancement of AI technology.
