On January 31, 2026, Kimi, an AI product developed by Moonshot AI (Yuezhi'anmian in Chinese), took to its official Weibo account to voice a concern. It revealed that when users searched for "Kimi official website" on Baidu, the first four search results were all advertisement links. This situation, Kimi pointed out, was highly likely to mislead users. As public outcry mounted, Baidu took action by optimizing the search results. It moved the official Kimi website higher in the rankings and labeled it as "official." However, Baidu did not issue any public statement in response to the matter. Subsequently, Kimi deleted the Weibo post and later confirmed that "the issue has been resolved."
