This move signifies the full-scale execution of Alibaba's AI 'Golden Triangle' strategy. This chip, boasting entirely self-developed software and hardware, is meticulously crafted for the AI computing realm. It has been reliably deployed across multiple clusters, encompassing tens of thousands of cards, within Alibaba Cloud. Furthermore, it has successfully catered to the needs of over 400 top-tier clients, showcasing outstanding performance in large-scale deep learning training and inference tasks. The launch of the 'Zhenwu' chip has, for the inaugural time, brought Alibaba's internal 'Tongyunge' AI blueprint into the public eye: 'Tong' stands for Tongyi Laboratory, which is tasked with algorithm and large model development; 'Yun' embodies Alibaba Cloud, offering computing power and platform support; 'Ge' denotes T-Head Semiconductor, concentrating on the development of underlying chip hardware.
