Recently, Jack Ma took part in the "Laba Appointment" event hosted by the Jack Ma Rural Public Welfare Foundation via an online platform. During the event, he shared his insights on AI and education. He posited that for rural education, AI poses both a challenge and an opportunity to revert to the fundamental essence of education. In the age of AI, it is paramount to contemplate how to steer children towards the effective utilization of AI. He underscored the importance of education in kindling children's curiosity, as the discrepancies in the AI era are predominantly reflected in abilities such as curiosity. Education in the future should inspire children to think more innovatively and learn to pose diverse questions.
Jack Ma also delved into the topic of AI in April of the previous year, highlighting that technology should serve as a boon to humanity. Wu Yongming, the CEO of Alibaba Group, echoes a similar sentiment. At the Yunqi Conference in September of the previous year, he remarked that humans and AI would embark on a new collaborative paradigm, with large models evolving into the next-generation operating systems and AI clouds functioning as the next-generation computers. Alibaba is vigorously propelling the development of AI infrastructure and intends to augment its investment, while also charting out a three-stage evolutionary trajectory towards ASI (Artificial Superintelligence).
