On January 21 (local time), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in the Philippines declared its intention to revoke the ban imposed on the AI chatbot Grok, contingent upon Musk's artificial intelligence venture, xAI, implementing corrective actions. According to DICT, xAI has reached out to the Philippine authorities and pledged to tackle concerns, including the misuse of Grok for creating pornographic material. The Philippines' Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center (CICC) further emphasized that the relevant authorities will maintain vigilant oversight to guarantee Grok's adherence to local laws and regulations.
