On January 21, Bloomberg broke the news that Yang Ge, one of the co-founders of Musk's AI startup xAI, is set to resign following a diagnosis of Lyme disease. Lyme disease is an inflammatory ailment that spreads through tick bites. Yang Ge, an accomplished AI scientist with both an undergraduate and a master's degree from Harvard University, had previously worked as a researcher at Microsoft's Research Lab in Redmond.
