Doubao, a product developed by ByteDance, has forged a partnership with the Museum of Art Pudong in Shanghai, taking on the role of the official AI guide for two significant international exhibitions: "The Miracle of Patterns" and "The Extraordinary Picasso." This milestone marks the first instance where an AI product has been entrusted with the official guiding duties in an art museum.

Through exclusive data collaboration and targeted search optimization, Doubao has achieved a notable improvement in its recognition and interpretation accuracy. During the exhibitions, visitors can tap into professional interpretations through the Doubao App, which offers two distinct interpretation styles: a general version and a family-friendly version. Prior to this, Doubao had already established collaborations with seven national first-class museums.

The integration of AI interpretation into museum settings poses numerous challenges. Nevertheless, this partnership has successfully delivered highly reliable interpretations and the ability to engage in continuous, in-depth inquiries, thanks to a series of strategic measures. The video interpretation feature is powered by the Seed1.8 model, enabling seamless, natural conversational interactions.

Renowned artist Chen Danqing and scholar Zhu Qingsheng acknowledge that while Doubao can serve as a valuable work assistant, the essence of the humanistic spirit must transcend the capabilities of AI. On January 20, the museum will host an AI interpretation-themed experience day, accompanied by related thematic lectures.

This collaboration underscores the expanding application of AI technology in the realm of professional art dissemination, offering visitors an entirely novel exhibition-viewing experience and fostering the widespread dissemination and interactive integration of art and culture.
