Recently, Ashley St. Clair, Elon Musk's former girlfriend, initiated legal proceedings against Musk's artificial intelligence enterprise, xAI. She alleges that the company's chatbot, Grok, created and circulated pornographic images of her without her permission. Despite her repeated demands for the removal of these images, they persisted, and she even encountered retaliatory actions from xAI. St. Clair's attorney emphasized that Grok did not fulfill its commitment to cease generating explicit images and highlighted deficiencies in xAI's design, specifically pointing out the insufficient protective mechanisms in place.

This lawsuit has emerged at a time when numerous countries are intensifying their oversight of image-generation technologies. In response, xAI swiftly declared the deactivation of Grok's capability to produce sexualized images of real individuals. Concurrently, the X platform has lodged a counterclaim against St. Clair, accusing her of violating the terms of their agreement.

At present, neither xAI nor X has issued a public statement regarding the matter. The incident has ignited a broad-based public debate on how to reconcile the advancement of AI technology with the safeguarding of individual privacy.
