Google has recently unveiled the beta iteration of Gemini's 'Personal Intelligence' in the United States. This innovative feature empowers users to seamlessly link applications like Gmail, Photos, YouTube, and Search with a single click, facilitating cross-app information synthesis and precise data retrieval. By default, this functionality remains inactive, granting users the autonomy to select which apps to integrate and the flexibility to deactivate or erase data at their convenience. Google underscores that safeguarding privacy stands as a foundational design tenet, ensuring that user data is not harnessed for direct model training. Rather, it is exclusively utilized to address specific requests post-authorization, with the system meticulously citing information sources. Presently, this feature is being incrementally introduced to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers, with plans to progressively expand its availability to free users and additional countries down the line, as well as to incorporate it into the AI mode of Search.
