Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, offered insights into Apple's AI collaboration with Google. He pointed out that although on-device AI is not likely to spur growth in hardware shipments in the near term, this partnership could help relieve the recent pressures that Apple has been facing from various quarters. Looking ahead, Apple will still need to tighten its grip on core AI technologies. Kuo predicted that Apple's self-developed AI server chips would commence mass production in the latter half of 2026, and its in-house data center would be up and running by 2027. Once that happens, Apple's need for on-device AI capabilities could see a substantial uptick.
