He further predicted that within the next three years, robots will excel over humans in surgical skills, and within four years, they will outperform any human doctor. Musk even went as far as to suggest that pursuing a medical education could become futile. In stark contrast, seasoned medical professionals assert that it is unrealistic to expect robots to achieve complete autonomy in surgical procedures within the next five years, estimating that it will take the collaborative efforts of several more generations to reach that milestone. Currently, Musk's brain-computer interface venture, Neuralink, has indeed employed robots to conduct 'brain-insertion' surgeries. However, these operations still necessitate on-site supervision and assistance from engineers, as robots are currently incapable of making fully autonomous decisions.
