On January 12, 2026, the A-share market commenced trading with a mixed showing across its three major indices. The Shanghai Composite Index started the day on a positive note, climbing 0.35%. The Shenzhen Component Index also joined the upward trend, rising by 0.47%. However, the ChiNext Index bucked the trend, opening 0.13% lower.
