On January 10, Chen Jianye, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, announced that Fujian is set to expedite the digital and intelligent transformation within the manufacturing sector. The province aims to bolster industrial green development and steer industries towards "new" and "green" growth trajectories.
To achieve these goals, specific strategies will be implemented, such as rolling out the "Nine Major Initiatives" for digital empowerment in industrial manufacturing. These initiatives will be driven by enterprises, guided by the government, and supported by service providers. The plan includes establishing more transformation benchmarks, facilitating comprehensive industrial chain transformation, and accelerating the widespread adoption of digital technologies in manufacturing.
Concurrently, Fujian will intensify its "AI+" strategy, leveraging the latest round of policy incentives to foster industry-specific vertical models and intelligent agents. The province will expand AI application scenarios and promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence across diverse industries. Furthermore, the provincial AI industrial parks in Fuzhou, Xiamen, and Quanzhou will pursue distinct and specialized development paths.
Regarding green development, Fujian will initiate special programs for energy conservation and carbon reduction. The province will enforce stringent energy conservation reviews and carbon emission assessments for "two high" (high energy consumption and high emission) industrial projects. It will also build on its strengths in green manufacturing, cultivate more national and provincial-level green parks and enterprises, and advance the construction of zero-carbon parks and factories.
