Research shows that German small and medium-sized enterprises (collectively known as the “Mittelstand”) are slowing down their investment in artificial intelligence, but overall corporate spending on AI applications is increasing. According to a survey released on Thursday by management consulting firm Horvath, a survey of 200 German SMEs found that these companies will spend 0.35% of their revenue on AI technology in 2025, down from 0.41% in 2024.
