Financial data reveals that OpenAI offers substantial salaries to its roughly 4,000 employees, with the per-employee stock compensation soaring to approximately $1.5 million. This figure is a staggering 34 times greater than the average per-employee stock compensation provided by 18 other prominent tech firms in the year preceding their initial public offerings (IPOs) over the past quarter-century. It is projected that OpenAI's stock-based compensation will see an annual increase of about $3 billion before 2030. Moreover, OpenAI has done away with the policy mandating employees to complete a six-month tenure before being eligible for equity, a move that could potentially drive compensation levels even higher. According to analysis, OpenAI's compensation as a proportion of its revenue is anticipated to reach 46% in 2025, ranking second only to Rivian and surpassing that of Palantir, Google, and Facebook.
