On December 29, the "Joint Research Center for Medical Artificial Intelligence Innovation," a collaborative effort between Peking University People's Hospital and Ant Health, was formally inaugurated. The primary objective of this center is to drive forward pioneering research and the practical deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within the healthcare industry. On the same occasion, the inaugural national standard for "AI Doctors" in the surgical domain was officially unveiled. This standard was spearheaded by Peking University People's Hospital, in conjunction with the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Ant Health, and a consortium of hospitals. This milestone represents a significant leap in the formulation of technical application standards and guidelines for medical AI.
