On December 29, 2025, The Information reported that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, in internal communications, voiced criticism over Copilot's inadequate integration with Gmail and Outlook. He remarked that the integration "largely fails to function" and "lacks sufficient intelligence." In response to this situation, Nadella has taken a hands-on approach to enhance the product. He is now deeply involved in technical decision-making and engineering management processes. Additionally, he has delegated some of his business duties to concentrate on the development of AI products. Earlier studies have indicated that Copilot can experience a failure rate as high as 70% when performing real-world office tasks. Despite Microsoft's assertion that 85% of enterprises have adopted Copilot, doubts persist regarding the actual depth of its usage and the true value it delivers.
