On December 19, 2025, at the National Laboratory located in Huairou District, Beijing, the world's inaugural native professional large model tailored for the power industry—the NWHR Power Production Large Model—was formally unveiled. Acting as the intelligent heart that powers the 'transparent operation' of new - type power systems, this model has made remarkable breakthroughs in core capabilities spanning three key areas: measurement data, physical laws, and operational protocols. In practical terms, it is capable of performing power grid state simulations in a mere 35 milliseconds or so. Moreover, it can continuously generate key indicators, and significantly boosts the accuracy of complex risk assessments by over three times. This provides vital support for the safe and efficient incorporation of a high proportion of renewable energy sources into the power grid. At present, the model has undergone successful demonstrations and is in smooth operation at the Dali Power Supply Bureau, which is part of China Southern Power Grid in Yunnan.
