According to foreign media reports, Uganda has officially launched its local large language model, "Sunflower," in recent days. Developed based on Alibaba's open-source QianWen large model, this initiative aims to leverage advanced AI technology to bridge the digital divide and serve Uganda's population of 46 million, particularly dialect-speaking groups. Currently, the Alibaba QianWen large model supports 119 languages and dialects, with the number of derived models exceeding 180,000.
