Meanwhile, its water consumption is on par with the entire world's total bottled water consumption. This study urges technology companies to improve their transparency when it comes to disclosing pollution emissions and water usage. Although AI propels technological advancement forward, the significant energy and water it consumes have become more and more noticeable, posing a major obstacle to sustainable development.
