NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang: No Funds Disbursed to OpenAI as of Now

On December 17 (local time), Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA, disclosed that although the company inked a letter of intent with OpenAI in September of this year. The intent was to plan an investment of up to $100 billion for the joint establishment of large-scale AI data centers, no payment has been made to OpenAI thus far. This collaborative effort is geared towards deploying at least 10 gigawatts of NVIDIA systems to bolster the training and operation of OpenAI's next-generation AI models. It is anticipated that the first data center on a gigawatt scale will come online in the latter half of 2026.
