According to an internal announcement made on the afternoon of December 17, Vinces Yao (Yao Shunyu) has been designated as the Chief AI Scientist within the 'CEO/President's Office,' directly reporting to Tencent's President, Liu Chiping. Concurrently, he has also taken on the leadership roles of the AI Infrastructure Department and the Large Language Model Department, reporting to Lu Shan, the President of the Technology and Engineering Group. It is worth noting that Yao Shunyu joined Tencent a few months ago, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his previous tenure as a researcher at OpenAI.
