China to Spearhead Creation of 275 International Standards Across Diverse High-Tech Sectors by 2025

On December 16, information from the State Administration for Market Regulation revealed that China is set to take the lead in formulating 275 international standards and proposing 459 new international standard initiatives by 2025. In just the fourth quarter, China played a pivotal role in the release of 38 international standards spanning areas such as 5G, semiconductors, new energy, and aerospace. Moreover, it submitted 60 innovative proposals in cutting-edge domains, including quantum technology and AI. Additionally, the State Administration for Market Regulation is poised to launch the 'Special Initiative for the Development of 100 National Standards in Artificial Intelligence' in close collaboration with relevant departments in the near future.
