On the 11th, OpenAI, the renowned U.S.-based Open Artificial Intelligence Research Center, unveiled the latest, enhanced version of its artificial intelligence model, GPT, specifically GPT-5.2. This move comes as a strategic response to the escalating competition within the generative artificial intelligence landscape. Earlier, Google's artificial intelligence model, Gemini 3, which was launched in November, demonstrated remarkable performance. In light of this, OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, declared a 'red alert', expediting the rollout of the upgraded GPT version. Notably, OpenAI had just introduced GPT-5 in August of this year, followed by the release of the enhanced GPT-5.1 in November. Now, less than a month later, another update has been introduced. Industry experts opine that this rapid succession of updates underscores the immense competitive pressures currently gripping the artificial intelligence sector.
