On December 10, Airbus Group unveiled that it had secured a €50 million contract from the French Armament General Directorate (DGA). The contract's aim is to incorporate AI technology, developed by the Ministerial Delegation for Artificial Intelligence in National Defence (a branch within Airbus), into the weapons, information, communication, and cybersecurity frameworks of the French armed forces. The project's first stage will zero in on enhancing France's maritime surveillance capabilities, achieving this by integrating AI to analyze and process satellite data.
