The renowned repair community, iFixit, has unveiled an AI-driven repair assistant named "FixBot", with the goal of making device repairs more accessible. Users have the option to either describe the problem they're encountering or upload relevant photos. Subsequently, "FixBot" will delve into the root cause of the malfunction and present viable solutions. The application boasts features like visual diagrams to facilitate "hands-off guidance", thereby creating an engaging and interactive repair journey. Drawing from iFixit's vast and specialized database, which has been meticulously built up over more than twenty years, the assistant can accurately tap into a wealth of resources to deliver trustworthy repair advice. As for its service model, "FixBot" embraces a "freemium" strategy, where basic functionalities are offered at no cost, while premium features necessitate a subscription. At present, it is running a time-limited free trial.
