Alibaba has officially formed the Qianwen Consumer Business Unit, which will be helmed by Wu Jia, the company's Vice President. This newly established unit is the result of a strategic merger and reorganization of the former Intelligent Information and Intelligent Connectivity Business Units. It encompasses a diverse range of businesses, including the Qianwen App, Kuake, AI hardware products, UC Browser, Shuqi (an e-book platform), and more.

In an internal communication, Alibaba highlighted that the core objective of the Qianwen Consumer Business Unit is to transform the Qianwen App into a super app. This super app is envisioned to serve as the primary gateway for users in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). Looking ahead, Qianwen is set to evolve into an omnipresent AI assistant, seamlessly integrating into various scenarios such as smart glasses, personal computers, automobiles, and beyond. The ultimate goal is to empower ordinary individuals to harness the benefits of AI anytime and anywhere, making advanced technology accessible and user-friendly for all.
