Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, remarked that China possesses a distinct edge over the United States in the realm of AI infrastructure development, particularly within the construction and energy sectors. He highlighted that, although the U.S. currently leads the way in AI chip innovation, China demonstrates an unparalleled speed in executing large-scale construction projects. To illustrate, constructing a data center in the U.S. typically spans around three years, a stark contrast to China's ability to erect a hospital in just a weekend. Regarding energy, China's energy capacity stands at twice that of the U.S., with a consistent upward trajectory, while the U.S. sees relatively little change. Nonetheless, Huang emphasized Nvidia's technological superiority over China in AI chips, yet he also urged vigilance against complacency, cautioning not to underestimate China's formidable manufacturing prowess.
