On December 8, the complete text of the 'Recommendations by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee for Drafting the 15th Five-Year Plan for Economic and Social Development in Shandong Province' was made public. These recommendations advocate for the robust promotion of innovative artificial intelligence applications, emphasizing the need for significant progress in fundamental core technologies and pivotal shared technologies, such as AI chips, algorithms, multi-modal data integration, and compact large-scale models. Moreover, there will be backing for the creation of a national pilot site dedicated to AI applications. In tandem, the 'Double Hundred Initiative' aimed at the large-scale model industry will be rolled out, strategies to bolster industry-specific and scenario-tailored large-scale models will be progressed, the creation of premium datasets will be expedited, and the convergence of smart terminals and agents will be encouraged. Additionally, an all-encompassing 'AI+' campaign will be initiated to encourage profound integration of AI across various domains, including technology, industry, consumption, and public welfare.
