On December 2 (local time), Colette Kress, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Nvidia, made an appearance at the UBS Global Technology and AI Conference, where she took part in an interview. When questioned about the so-called 'AI bubble,' Kress emphasized that a substantial portion of Nvidia's newly-shipped AI chips are being deployed for establishing new data center infrastructures, rather than simply replacing outdated equipment. This trend underscores an ongoing expansion of computational capacity, marking the global economy's entry into the nascent stages of transitioning towards AI-centric data center architectures. Kress re-emphasized Nvidia's projection that global investment in AI will soar to a staggering USD 3 trillion to USD 4 trillion by the close of 2030. She further highlighted that nearly half of these investments will be channeled into the transformation from traditional CPU-based systems to accelerated computing platforms.
