After NVIDIA revealed last month its intention to supply 260,000 GPUs to South Korea, the South Korean government, in partnership with Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor Group, and additional companies, launched a collaborative artificial intelligence task force this Thursday. The objective is to strategize the rollout of these 260,000 GPUs and to expedite the development of South Korea's AI infrastructure. As per the outlined strategy, the South Korean government will be responsible for deploying 50,000 NVIDIA GPUs. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, and SK Telecom will each handle the deployment of 50,000 GPUs, and Naver will oversee the deployment of 60,000 GPUs.
