NVIDIA reports that Black Forest Labs, a pioneering AI research laboratory, has just launched a new iteration of its image generation model, FLUX.2. This advanced model boasts a range of innovative features, including the ability to generate images from multiple references, precise control over poses, and exceptional text rendering quality. It can support resolutions up to 4 megapixels, which markedly diminishes the characteristic "AI-generated appearance" and significantly boosts the realism of the visuals produced.
In an effort to enhance the model's accessibility and practicality, NVIDIA has teamed up with Black Forest Labs and ComfyUI. Together, they've achieved a 40% reduction in the model's memory demands by employing FP8 quantization technology. Additionally, they've optimized the model's performance on RTX GPUs. FLUX.2 can now be seamlessly integrated and run directly within ComfyUI, eliminating the need for extra software packages. This model is readily available for download, making high-end generative AI models more accessible by substantially lowering the hardware requirements.
