Back in 1950, computer technology was limited to carrying out automatic arithmetic and basic logical computations. It was during this era that Alan Turing raised a question with far-reaching implications: Can machines possess the ability to think? His imagination was boundless, as he envisioned the possibility of building intelligence through learning, rather than assuming it was an inherent trait. This groundbreaking idea marked the beginning of the scientific quest for artificial intelligence (AI). Having dedicated 25 years of my career to the field of AI, Turing's vision continues to be a source of inspiration for me. Nevertheless, the question remains: How close are we to realizing this vision? The answer is far from straightforward.
