U.S.-based AI startup Anthropic has declared its intention to allocate US$50 billion towards the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure across the United States. The initial phase of projects will be situated in Texas and New York, with a strategic partnership with AI cloud computing platform Fluidstack to co-create bespoke data centers. These state-of-the-art facilities are tailored to bolster the company's operational and research endeavors. The first wave of data centers is slated to commence operations in 2026, potentially generating around 800 permanent positions and 2,400 jobs during the construction phase.
