The 2025 Globalscape Report, published by the global investment firm Accel, reveals that while the United States retains its dominance in large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) models, Europe is making significant strides in AI applications. Emerging companies like Lovable and Synthesia are quickly rising to prominence in this sector. Data from the report indicates that since 2025, private financing for cloud and AI applications in Europe and Israel has soared to 66% of the level seen in the United States. This marks a dramatic increase from just 10% a decade prior. The report credits this remarkable shift to Europe's well-established software startup and investment ecosystem, along with the sustained "technology flywheel effect" that has been in motion for ten years. Nowadays, founder teams endowed with both technical prowess and market acumen are continually emerging across diverse industries, such as law, healthcare, manufacturing, and marketing. This trend is fueling rapid growth in AI application financing throughout Europe.
