After almost a year of development and anticipation, NVIDIA's DGX Spark, a compact AI supercomputer, has finally made its official debut. Yet, its hefty price tag of $3,999 (around RMB 28,500) has proven to be a significant deterrent for numerous potential buyers. In light of this, GMKtec, a prominent manufacturer specializing in mini PCs and powered by AMD technology, has unveiled its EVO-X2 mini PC. This device is outfitted with the Strix Halo APU and is priced at a mere RMB 14,999. GMKtec asserts that the EVO-X2 can offer AI performance that is on par with, or even surpasses, that of the DGX Spark, all while costing nearly half as much.
