At his new post, he will shoulder the responsibility of constructing computing infrastructure essential for Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Throughout his time at Intel, Katti played a pivotal role in shaping the company's overarching AI strategy and product development blueprint. Additionally, he supervised the day-to-day operations of Intel Labs and fostered collaborations within the ecosystem. A spokesperson from Intel verified Katti's resignation and mentioned that CEO Lip-Bu Tan will step in to lead the AI and advanced technology divisions. The spokesperson further underscored that AI continues to be a key strategic priority for Intel.
