On November 7, Fujian Province unveiled the "Several Measures to Foster the Growth and Empowerment Applications of the Artificial Intelligence Industry in Fujian Province." This initiative is designed to expedite research, development, innovation, and technology transfer (including the commercialization of research findings) in the realm of AI software and hardware. It also aims to drive forward the evolution of cutting-edge technologies and products, such as next-gen intelligent terminals, intelligent agents, intelligent chips, intelligent devices, and embodied artificial intelligence.

Drawing on criteria like technological innovation, application efficacy, and user feedback, Fujian Province will curate a selection of premium AI products. Each chosen product will be eligible for a one-off reward of 500,000 yuan. Furthermore, the province is committed to bolstering R & D investments among AI enterprises, offering incentives and subsidies in line with established regulations. It also encourages local governments to extend matching support. Beyond that, the province backs enterprises in expediting their patent strategies (deployment) and reinforcing intellectual property safeguards.
