The "Light of the Internet" Exhibition kicked off at the 2025 World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. During his keynote speech, Liu Qiangdong remarked that in the foreseeable future, working hours for employees could see a substantial reduction. Moreover, the advent of unmanned delivery for express parcels is on the horizon, with robots poised to autonomously open doors for parcel placement. He put forward a proposal to impose a staggering 90% profit tax on technological monopolies, with the proceeds earmarked for supporting elderly care and educational initiatives. Liu emphasized that concerns over job security and fairness should be allayed. Furthermore, he disclosed that JD.com's Beijing sorting center has already automated 90% of its workforce with robots. By next April, it is anticipated that the world's inaugural fully unmanned delivery station will be up and running, with all internal operations to be carried out by robots.
