Amazon has made an announcement revealing its plan to roll out an AI-powered translation service on the Kindle platform. This innovative service aims to assist independent authors in translating their literary creations into other languages at a more affordable cost. The newly introduced feature, named "Kindle Translate," is presently undergoing a testing phase and is exclusively accessible to a carefully chosen group of authors who publish through Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). Amazon has pointed out that less than 5% of the books available in its U.S. store come with multilingual versions. The company anticipates that this tool will empower authors to "connect with new readers and boost their earnings."
