Alibaba CEO Wu Yongming: 20.74% of Developers in 'ModelScope' Community Hail from Small Firms with Under 50 Staff

On the morning of November 7, the 2025 Wuzhen Summit of the World Internet Conference kicked off. At the opening ceremony, Wu Yongming, the CEO of Alibaba, disclosed that more than 20.74% of the developers in Alibaba's 'ModelScope' community are from small organizations that have fewer than 50 employees. Additionally, independent developers make up 13.7% of the total. Within the community, the 'Creative Space' channel showcases nearly 23,000 AI applications that span over 20 industries. Remarkably, around 95% of these applications are the brainchild of individual developers.
