Addressing the prevalent bias challenges within AI vision models, the Sony AI team has introduced a pioneering dataset known as the "Fair Human-Centered Image Benchmark (FHIBE)". This meticulously curated dataset encompasses 10,318 images sourced from 81 diverse countries and regions, featuring 1,981 unique individuals. It spans a wide array of tasks, from facial recognition to visual question answering, thereby offering a comprehensive testing ground for AI models. Notably, the FHIBE dataset is enriched with exhaustive annotation details, encompassing demographic traits, physical characteristics, and more, facilitating a nuanced analysis of bias. The groundbreaking research underpinning this dataset has been published in the esteemed journal Nature.
