On November 5, 2025, SoftBank Group and OpenAI made a joint announcement about the creation of a new joint venture, SB OAI Japan GK. The primary objective of this venture is to adapt OpenAI's enterprise - grade AI technology for the Japanese market, thereby facilitating its adoption among Japanese companies. The 'Crystal Intelligence' solution, which is the brainchild of this joint venture, is set to be officially rolled out in 2026. SoftBank is poised to be the inaugural customer of this solution. It will assume a pioneering role by being the first to deploy and validate the technology. Subsequently, SoftBank will actively promote it to other enterprises, acting as a trailblazer in the adoption of this innovative AI technology within the Japanese business landscape.
