During a podcast interview on November 1, Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, refuted reports claiming that the company is set to go public next year. He clarified that there isn't a set date for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and emphasized that the board hasn't reached any decision regarding this issue. Nevertheless, he hinted that, in the long run, a move towards going public might be on the cards. Additionally, Altman disclosed that OpenAI's yearly revenue significantly surpasses the speculated figure of $13 billion.
