On October 14, Tencent formally unveiled the Qingyun Scholarship Program. This initiative is dedicated to advancing foundational research and applied innovation within the realm of artificial intelligence. It specifically targets Chinese master's and doctoral candidates who are currently enrolled in educational institutions across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

Candidates must be pursuing studies in computer science, artificial intelligence, or related interdisciplinary fields. They should demonstrate outstanding research prowess, adhere to high academic standards, and possess a visionary outlook towards scientific research. In its inaugural phase, the program will identify and honor 15 exceptional recipients. Each awardee will be granted a comprehensive support package, encompassing both a cash stipend and access to computing resources, collectively valued at RMB 500,000.
