On October 13, 2025, ABB declared its partnership with NVIDIA, aiming to expedite the development of next-generation data centers on a gigawatt scale. In this collaboration, both entities will concentrate their efforts on the research, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art power supply solutions. Their goal is to build efficient and scalable power delivery systems that can adequately support the future workloads of artificial intelligence. The R&D projects involved will specifically back NVIDIA's proposed 800VDC power supply architecture, an architecture well-suited for server racks operating at a 1-megawatt scale.
